This is the long awaited post for our blog reader, SHY. She said that she feels shy to tell a guy that she likes him. We're here to help you out! =)

So you like someone, and you're probably wondering, what should I do? Should i tell him straight up? Should I ask him out? Should I change my style? Should I put on some make up?

1. We say BE YOURSELF! You don't have to act or be like someone else just to make him notice you. Few things put a man off as much as artifice. So if you are talking louder or laughing or smiling more than you normally do, ease up. It may actually backfire.

2. Flaunt yourself naturally. Don't wear clothes you're not comfortable in. Your natural look, the one you should carry with most confidence, is your most attractive look. If you really want variation, why not just mix and match your own things? So don't trouble yourself with dramatic make up and go with YOU! :)

3. Take the INITIATIVE. Why don't you make the first move instead of waiting? It's as simple as giving him a smile, saying hello, making your presence felt. When you have built up your courage, just ask him out.

4. Move with the flow. So now you've got his attention. Give him some of yours. Laugh at his jokes (If it's funny; if it's not, a polite chuckle should do). Contribute to the conversation. Don't be selfish with your smiles. Be reasonably polite; just don't fake it.

5. Homework. Take an interest in who he is and what he likes, and show him who you are too. There's no point in hiding yourself now. One more thing: do not appear to be stalking (even if you are). :)

6. HAVE FUN. Don't revolve your world around him. You have your own life, and he has his. So live your fantastic life (and it wouldn't hurt if he knew about it). Remember, guys don't like drama so don't pull any Marissa Copper (The O.C) stunts if you can help it.

7. In the most subtle of fashion, show him that you're single. You can do this in any way you want, but the trick is to not come off as desperate.

8. The EX files. When you're talking to this guy, don't launch into some major sob story about how your ex messed up your life. This guy needs to know that you're ready to move forward, not backwards. Also, they wouldn't like to hear constant sermons about how great your other guy friends are. They get jealous.

9. The Sixth Sense. Humour. Guys love being with girls who are sensible and have a good sense of humour. You don't have to be on laughing gas, just express humour in your own witty way to get him hooked.

10. Bag him. So when you finally get on that first date, it's time to seal the deal. Charm, Confidence and Character is your best weapon.

Girls, it's time to get your shopping carts! All the best (to Shy).
